Today I got a chance to go through my archive pictures and found many that brought back memories. Blog memories, that is. In the past, I have gotten really excited when I got the opportunity to attend fashion weeks in Paris and New York. Naturally, attending my neighborhood shows in LA didn’t cause that much anticipation. Until this season that is. I have been just a tad bit busy with my other projects, so I wasn’t sure how many shows I was going to be able to attend. Thankfully, Fashion Concept LA this past weekend was on my must list. Besides great runway shows, there were a few informal presentations. One of them was by far my favorite- Korovilas. The images speak for themselves..Fabrics like lace and colors like deep green and burgundy won me over and I hung around the models for a good chunk of time, until I figured I am scaring them with my analysis and rushed off to check out the runway. I’ll admit. I spend A LOT of time on Facebook. And instagram. And Pinterest. “It’s for work” , I say to people. But honestly, its just as much for work as it is for inspiration. My Facebook feed is full of updates and images from brands that I admire and I appreciate them sharing their ideas and visuals- It keeps me in the loop of the latest trends and gives me the style motivation that sometimes a girl really needs. MAGIC trade shows in Las Vegas have become a must twice a year for me. I’m usually not a big fan of the city itself, it always looks so depressing during the day and the nights are full of adults making poor decisions. But during a week in February and August, the strip is full of buyers, retailers, designers and press. We all get together to socialize, learn about new brands, network and yes, even have a few cocktails. This time, I got to meet such an amazing group of talented people that I just might start calling Las Vegas my friend…

I was dying to go to NY for Fashion Week and was lucky enough to score a ticket last minute. I couldn’t believe my luck (and the kindness of a friend who let me use his miles!) so I packed quickly and jetted off to the east coast. Luckily I flew in just in time for ØDD’s presentation of “People Have Weapons” collection. Well, I have already raved about this collection so I won’t over do it. But yes, it was amazing.
