Oh Armani.. if you didn’t have our hearts before, you definitely won us over after the Beckham campaign. Putting a sexy soccer player in his ads was an expected smart move, coming from Giorgio Armani, a designer who has been creating magic for the last 5 decades. Known for his unstructured jackets and natural color palette, its no wonder he has grown into a brand- bedlinens, chocolates and hotels.
The latest: In September Armani received the prestigious Designer of the Year 2010 award from GQ, in the same month he opened up new locations in Hamburg.
If I get one question…
Q: What is the most important lesson you have learned?
GA: “To trust my own instincts. I have realized over time that I have to take responsibility for my actions and beliefs. In terms of fashion, this means that I stand by what I do. If others don’t like it, then that’s fair enough. But I have to be consistent, and create what I believe in. Otherwise I have nothing.”
