Pink is in (?)

Everyone loves pink. Wait, I don’t. Ok, its a lovely hue and I won’t argue that it looks adorable on a summer dress or a structures blazer. But there is just something about all the presumptions of pink being the color of women ( Hello, pink EVERYTHING, at a baby shower) that shakes me to the core. But before I get carried away with my feminist rant ( it would be a short one, I promise.. not much of a feminist over here) I have to admit my guilty pleasure. Yes, I still watch reruns of Sex and the City and I am not ashamed of it. I tell my friends I get ” inspiration to write” when I watch it but in reality I still can’t get over the genius scripting of that fabulous show. First, no matter how many times you watch it, you still learn something new. Yes, I said LEARN. And second—–(pace yourself, because you’ve never heard this one before)– the FASHION. Ohhh, my, I get inspired not just to write but to clean out my closet (or go shopping). I might not be a fan of pink but Carrie sure knows how to make the color look good. So, here I am, trying to dig up anything pink in my closet..Uhm, does peach count?

  1. You’re so cute! I do love pink sometimes! Love the pictures!

  2. I’m with you on pink, don’t love it as the color for women/girls, but sometimes, I see (and purchase) a lovely pink item without shame. I heard somewhere that way back when, pink was a color for baby boys and light blue for baby girls. I should check that out…
